Schwarzes Gold has a beautiful, golden straw-yellow color and smells slightly floral due to the added hops. The beer was launched in 1978 as a slightly fuller version of the regular lager. The higher fullness and not least the alcohol content make it suitable for Thai coconut milk soups, butter-fried fish or everyday dishes steamed in cream.
